Salmonella outbreak news ! 2

The news is about that the investigation groups in united states are still searching about salmonella case in peanut butters .They have found that the main region is china which a place whose raw peanuts import to U.S. So they have gone there and looked for the major reason.The most important question that they are looking for a proper answer is : Why salmonella could still alive even during frying the peanuts within the process?!....Anyhow ..I start explaining about salmonella as following:

The taxonomic classification of the genus salmonella has been fraught with problems.more than 2000 unique serotypes of salmonella have been described which at one time were classified as separate species.It has also been recommended that the genus should be restricted to three species(salmonella cholerae-suis salmonella typhi and salmonella enteritidis) based upon biochemical and serologic reactions,with subtype classification assigned based upon serologic testing.Most recently it has been proposed thet the genus consist of a single species(salmonella enterica)which can be subdivided into six separate but related subspecies.Unfortunately ,the confusing nomenclature associated with this genus will not be eliminated because many of the serotype designations.Salmonella are widely distributed in the animal kingdom,with isolates recovered from poultry,reptiles,livestock,rodent,domestic animals ,birds and man.serotypes such as salmonella typhi and salmonella paratyphi are highly adapted to man and do not cause disease in nonhuman hosts.Other salmonella strains are adapted to animals and when they infect humans can cause severe human disease .Finally many strains have no host specificity and cause disease in both human and nonhuman hosts.The source of most infections is ingestion of contaminated water or food -products or direct fecal-oral spread in children.The peak incidence of disease is in young children infected during the warm months of the year at a time when consumption of contaminated food such as egg salad can occur at outdoor social gatherings .The most common sources of human infections are poultry ,eggs, and dairy products.An animal reservoir is maintained by animal to -animal spread and the use os salmonella-contaminated animal feeds. It is estimated that as many as 3,000,000 new cases os salmonella infections occur annually.Salmonella typhi is spread by ingestion of food or water contaminated by infected food handlers and , in contrast with other salmonella infections,fewer than 500 cases of typhoid fever occur annually in United States ,with the majority of these associated with foreign travel..Salmonella infections occur in one of four forms: gastroenteritis,bacteremia,enteric fever and asymptomatic colonization.
