The Question Of Hijab
"Why do Muslim women have to cover heads?"This is one which is asked by muslim and non-muslim alike.For many women it is the truesst test of being a Muslim.
The answer to the question is very simple-Muslim women observe hijab (covering the head and the body)because Allah (God) has told them to do so."O prophet,tell your wives and daughters and the believing women to draw their outer garments around them (when they go out or are among men).That is better in order that they may be known (to be Muslims) and not annoyed"Quran 33:59
Other secondary reasons include the requirement for modesty in both men and women.Both will then be evaluated for intelligence and skills instead of looks and sexuality.An Iranian school girl is quoted as saying,"we want to stop men from treating us like sex objects,as they have always done.We want them to ignore our appearance and to be attentive to our personalities and mind.We want them to take us seriously and treat us as equals and not just chase us around for our bodies and physical looks."
AMuslim woman who covers her head is making a statement about her identity.Anyone who sees her will know that she is a Muslim and has a good moral character.Many Muslim women who cover are filled with dignity and self esteem;they are pleased to be identified as a Muslim woman.As a chaste,modest,pure woman,she does not want her sexuality to enter into interactions with men in the smallest degree.A woman who covers herself is concealing her sexuality but allowing her femininity to be brought out .The question of Hijab for Muslim women has been a controversy for centuries and will probably continue for many more.Some learned people do not consider the subject open to discussion and consider that covering the face is required,while a majority are of the opinion that it is not required.Amiddle line position is taken by some who claim that the instructions are vague and open to individual discretion depending on the situation.The wives of the prophet(s) were required to cover their faces so that men would not think of them in sexual terms since they were the "Mother of the Believers,"but this requirement was not extended to other women.The word hijab comes from the Arabic word hajaba meaning to hide from view or conceal.In the present time,the context of hijab is the modest covering of a Muslim women.The question now is what is the extent of the covering?
The Qur'an says: Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;that will make for greater purity for them;And Allah(God) is well acquainted with all that they do.
"And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty;and that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what must ordinarily appear thereof;that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands..."Qur'an 24:30-31
These verses from Qur'an contain two main injunctions:(1) a woman should not show her beauty or adornments except what appears by uncontrolled factors such as the wind blowing her cloths,and (2) the head covers should be drawn so as to cover the hair,the neck and the bosom.Islam has no fixed standard as to the style of dress or type of clothing that Muslim must wear,however ,some requirements must be met.The first of these requirements is the parts of the body which must be covered.Islam has two sources for guidance and rulings:first ,the Qur'an ,the revealed word to Allah and secondly,the Hadith or the traditions of the prophet Muhammad (S) who was chosen by Allah to be the role model for mankind.The following is a Tradition of the prophet(S):Ayesha reported that Asma the daughter of Abu Bakr came to the Messenger of Allah (S) while wearing thin clothing.He approached her and said: O Asma ! when a girl reaches the menstrual age ,it is not proper that anything should remain exposed except this and this.He pointed to the face and hands(Abu Dawood)
The second requirement is looseness.The clothing must be loose enough so as not to describe the shape of the woman's body.One desirable way to hide the shape of the body is to wear a cloak over other clothes.However,if the clothing is loose enough ,an outer garment is not necessary.Thickness is the third requirement.The clothing must be thick enough so as not to show the color of the skin it covers or the shape of the body.The prophet Muhammad (S) stated that in later generations of his ummah there would be women who would be dressed but naked and on top of their heads(what looks like) camel humps.Curse them for they are truly cursed.(Muslim)
Another requirement is an over-all dignified appearance.The clothing should not attract men's attention to the women.It should not be shiny and flashy so that everyone notices the dress and the woman.
In addition there are other requirements:
(1) women must not dress so as to appear as men.Ibn Abbas narrated "The prophet (s) cursed the men who appear like women and the women who appear like men"(Bukhari)(2) women should not dress in a way similar to the unbelievers.(3) The clothing should be modest,nor excessively fancy and also not excessively ragged to gain others admiration or sympathy.
Often forgotten is the fact that modern western dress is a new invention .Looking at clothing of women as recently as seventy years ago,we see clothing similar to hijab.These active and hard-working women of the west were not inhibited by their clothing which consisted of long,full dresses and various types of head covering.Muslim womenwho wear hijab do not find it impractical or interfering with their activities in all levels and walks of life.
Hijabis not merely a covering dress but more importantly,it is behavior,manners,speech and appearance in public.Dress is only one facet of the total being.The basicrequirements of the Muslim woman's dress apply to the Muslim man's clothing with the difference being mainly in degree.Modesty requires that the area between the navel and the knee be covered in front to all people except the wife.The clothing of men should not be like the dress of women,nor should it be tight or provocative.A Muslim should dress to show his identity as a Muslim.Men are not allowed to wear gold or silk,however both are allowed for women.For both men and women ,clothing requirements are not meant to be a restriction but rathr a way in which society will function in a proper ,Islamic manner .

July 2011 -Tourism Award
Actor So Ji Sub and figure skater Kim Yuna were awarded at the "Korea Tourism's Stars" event held by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
On the 14th, the two attended the event at a Seoul museum and they both received a special achievement Minister of Culture award which also came with an additional prize of 5000000 WON (around $5000 USD).
Kim Yuna is a gold medalist figure skater and currently works as an ambassador for the "Visit Korea Year" campaign. She played an integral part in helping Pyeongchang win the bid for the 2018 Winter Olympics.
So Ji Sub is a top actor and works as a tourism ambassador for Kangwondo.

Davinci lost painting in London
یک تابلو از لئوناردو داوینچی، که تا مدتی پیش گمان بر این بود که گمشده یا از بین رفته است، در ماه نوامبر در نشنال گالری لندن به نمایش در خواهد آمد.
تابلو رنگ روغن سالواتور موندی (Salvator Mundi) به معنی "ناجی جهان"، که مسیح را با کره ای در دست نشان می دهد، در حدود سال ۱۵۰۰ میلادی کشیده شده است.

Gustav Klimt Painting On Sale !-حراج نقاشی گوستاو کلیمت
گوستاو کلیمت در سال ۱۸۶۲ در وین به دنیا آمد و سال ۱۹۱۸ درگذشت. او یکی از برجستهترین نقاشان مدرن آغاز قرن بیستم شناخته میشود .حراجی در نیویورک اعلام کرد که روز دوم نوامبر امسال اثری از گوستاو کلیمت، نقاش نوگرای اتریشی را به حراج خواهد گذاشت. انتظار میرود که حراج با مبلغ پایه ۲۵ میلیون دلار شروع شود.این اثر کلیمت را نیروهای آلمان نازی در جنگ جهانی دوم به غارت برده بودند، اما اینک به ورثه قانونی آن برگشته است. هنرهای تجسمی گوستاو کلیمت تابلوی "لیتزبرگ کنار آترزه" را در پایان سال ۱۹۱۴ نقاشی کرده است. تابلو چشمانداز زیبای دهکدهای را در کنار دریاچهای در غرب اتریش نشان میدهد تابلو چهارگوش و هر ضلع آن ۱۱۰ سانتیمتر است .رنگ مسلط آن سبز است و به سبک آشنای کلیمت با ریزهکاریهای ظریف مینیاتوری و تزیینی نقاشی شده است

Philip Pullman
The good man Jesus and the scoundrel christ is philip Pullman latest book that makes the people angry in christian world.Its look like the verses of devil from Salman Roshdi who was written about Mohammad the prophet of Islam.Anyway everybody likes to write something to bring him famous and good wealth !.No matter who writes what ?!.God keeps his words safe and secure...I don't think so we are so important between these huge different galaxies and absolutely between these huge different creatures that god has created them all in all over the world that even we still have not a proper image of it in our mind!.We just know that its oval shape and its spanding and thats it !.So critic about God and his prophets?I dont know its funny and childish...however the prophets were human beings like us but something is obvious !.They were better than anybody else in that time to pass the god's words? why?! because in that time you were not present over there !ha..ha..

Gertrude Bell
Gertrude Bell lived an extraordinary life, chiefly remembered for her pioneering assimilation of Arabic culture. Amidst a litany of achievements both academic and cultural her life also displayed certain paradoxes. Despite being a brilliant scholar, archaeologist, mountaineer and linguist, she also found time to be a leading figure for the anti Suffragette Movement (perhaps bizarrely saying if women were still interested in housework, why should they get the vote). Uniquely for her time she mingled easily with Arab princes, playing a formative role in the creation of the modern state of Iraq. (Some have even called her “The Mother of Iraq”) In a Victorian era that stifled Women’s role in society, she proved a fearless traveller spending many years crossing the deserts of Arabia and befriending the Arab people. Even though the Arabic princes were unaccustomed to a women playing such a pivotal role in politics they generally warmly accepted her and she in turn felt part of their culture. As a leading figure in the formation of modern Iraq, Gertrude Bell could be described as a proud British imperialist. Yet she still found time to help bring to light the mystical Sufi poetry of Hafiz, offering a sympathetic translation that is still popular today. Not without reason her biographer Victor Winstone described the life of Gertrude Bell as:
“An almost an uninterrupted succession of extraordinary achievements” (1)Gertrude Bell and Hafiz.
Admist all her influential activities in the Arabic world for which she is primarily and rightly remembered Gertrude Bell also compiled one of the early English translations of the Sufi poet Hafiz, who along with Rumi have recently become popularised in the West. On the poetry of Hafiz, Bell wrote:
“These are the utterances of a great poet, the imaginative interpreter of the heart of man;
they are not of one age, or of another, but for all time”

Hafiz is renowned as one of the most celebrated Persian poets. Living in the 14th Century, Hafiz was frequently persecuted for his disregard for the religious and political orthodoxy. People read different things into his poetry but he was unequivocal in his denunciation of religious rituals that were devoid of spiritual intensity. He also wrote extensively on the theme of love, both human and divine, alluding to the ecstasy of mystical union with the Divine.
In depicting the intensity of love, Gertrude Bell thought Hafiz comparable to the West’s own Shakespeare.
“My weary heart eternal silence keeps--
I know not who has slipped into my heart;
Though I am silent, one within me weeps.
My soul shall rend the painted veil apart.”

Ironically in the Victorian age a prevalent view of Islam was that it was a religion of great liberalism, even licentiousness. This was because the great Sufi poets such as Hafiz and Omar Khayyam expressed passionate love for their beloved and used terminology such as being in “drunk with the wine” In fact these were mere allegories of Divine love. Wine was a symbol of the divine ecstasy. A Tavern was the place of worship. Although Bell felt Hafiz was not only writing about mystical experiences she was able to interpret this unusual language and terms of the Sufi’s and offer a sympathetic translation. This shows Bell’s natural sympathy with a foreign culture and is an indication of how she was able to transcend her very British Victorian upbringing to immerse herself in a completely foreign culture. – Even a century later there are few western women who have been able to integrate so closely with the Arabic culture and people. A rare occurrence in Victorian Britain, and even rarer for a women to assimilate another very male dominated culture.

However the translation of Hafiz poems in english could not compaired to Farsi language translation.We persian ,talk to him by his book.Open it and read it and get our answer from him.Imagine how his book is complete.In our new year ceremoney(21th of March) we put Qoran(our Holy book) on our table plus Hafiz poems book !.
